MOKOPANE – A women was attacked and raped by two men at a restaurant outside Mokopane on Monday night.
According to Const Irene Masingi, spokesperson for the Mokopane police, the victim was attacked at about 21:50 by two suspects who forced her into her chalet.
“One of the suspects went back to the bar where he stole R2 000 and liquor while the other suspect raped her,” Masingi said.
“The suspects took a plasma TV and another R1 000. A case of housebreaking, business burglary and rape has been opened,” Masingi said.
No arrests have been made as yet and the investigation is ongoing, she added.

Willem Barnard from Rooikat Farm Watch said within 15 minutes after a call was made on the two-way radio, more than 30 members of the neighbourhood- and farm watch responded and scoured the area for the suspects.
“We followed their tracks to the nearby tar road, where they left in a car,” he said.
Barnard appealed to all residents to become members of their neighbourhood- or farm watch.
