Top Turf beauties crowned

Percia Maahlo was announced as the Face of Turf beauty pageant winner in the pro-category after she impressed the judges on the catwalk at the Mankweng community hall on Saturday, 3 October.

LIMPOPO – Percia Maahlo was announced as the Face of Turf beauty pageant winner in the pro-category after she impressed the judges on the catwalk at the Mankweng community hall on Saturday, 3 October.

Female entrants could participate in two categories, Female Face of Turf Pro for professional models, and Face of Turf Novice for aspiring models. There was only one category for the male participants, which was Male Face of Turf Pro.

According to pageant organiser, Zodwa Mdingi, this is the second time this pageant was held. She said the aim of the pageant is to groom future role models, uplift the community and develop youth in the community.

Khomotjo Kgopa was crowned the Face of Turf Novice queen, while Kabelo Molapo emerged the winner and was crowned Face of Turf Pro King.

Other titles and special awards:

Pro queen:

• Boikano Sewele – First princess.

• Tshegofatso Mamabolo – Second princess.

Novice queen:

• Tshepo Ramakgwakgwa – First princess.

• Mokgaetji Macheke – Second princess.

Pro king:

• Lebogang Madibana – First prince.

• Samuel Lemao – Second prince.

Special awards:

• Nthabiseng Mogaswa – Beauty with Purpose and Miss Public Choice.

• Fortunate Setwaba – Best Businesswoman.

• Molatelo Mothiba – Most Cooperative Woman.

• Mpho Mafogo – Mr Public Choice.
