LOUIS TRICHARDT – A man was robbed at gunpoint of his cellphone as well as an undisclosed amount of cash in Anderson Street on Monday at about 09:00.
“It is alleged that the victim was approached by two unknown men armed with pistols after he parked his vehicle along Anderson Street.
“The men demanded money from the victim at gunpoint,” said Cons Irene Radzilane, spokesperson for the Makhado police.
No shots were fired during the incident and the two suspects drove away in a red Volkswagen Golf with unknown licence plates.
A case of armed robbery is being investigated said Radzilane.
The police call upon anyone with information pertaining to the incident to please report it to the Makhado police station at (015) 519 4307.
The victim of the robbery was unavailable for comment.
