Sing along with DJ Roxy every Sunday

Known as DJ Roxy by thousands of Makhado community radio station listeners, Rofhiwa Millicent Munyai (28) says she has not reached her dream yet

LIMPOPO – Known as DJ Roxy by thousands of Makhado community radio station listeners, Rofhiwa Millicent Munyai (28) says she has not reached her dream yet.

Roxy was born in a village called Madombidzha outside Louis Trichardt in the Vhembe region.

She presents Weekend Fever, which is aired from 00:00 to 03:00 on Saturdays and Sing Along (Way Back Music) every Sunday from 22:00 to 00:00.

She holds a certificate in Human Resources Management from MSC Business College and still wants to enroll at Unisa to study for a BA degree in Media Studies.

“I’ve always had a love for radio and I used to attend presenter auditions, but didn’t qualify because of lack of experience. Kundani Media made my dream come true after giving me an opportunity,” DJ Roxy explains.

She says she used to send her CV to different radio stations before she got an opportunity at Makhado FM.

“My dream has not been reached yet. I still have to get to a national radio station. I believe one day I will get there. I am still developing more skills. My background motivates me not to give up.”
