All classes still suspended at UL and TUT campuses
Several business owners have opened a case of malicious damage to property and theft after the University of Limpopo (Ul) student protests that flowed over to the Mankweng Zone 1 and Paledi Mall on Wednesday.

The students allegedly damaged the doors to the businesses and stole soft drinks from a delivery truck during the protests. The UL students refused to give their cooperation when the police arrived and the police had to fire rubber bullets to disperse the crowd.
Students from the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Polokwane campus also joined the nationwide protests over fee hikes.

At the TUT Polokwane campus, lectures were disrupted as the protests continued. Classes have been suspended until Monday.
Thursday morning the students closed the campus gates, denying people access.
The police has not received any reports of violence, but they are monitoring the situation.
No arrests were made.
