MOKOPANE – The Leubaneng Primary School in the Marulaneng Village about 60 km outside of Mokopane was awarded with a first place in the province as well as nationally on Monday in recognition for their outstanding contribution to the improved nutritional status of communities in the Nestlé Community Nutrition competition.
The school is now R30 000 richer thanks to their hard work, dedication and team effort to build a sustainable future for the children.

Mologadi Maluleke, coordinator of the eco-school project and chairperson of the health and advisory committee, told Bosveld: “We are very proud to have reached this great achievement. The school is part of the eco-school project and we are currently on platinum level two. I believe that together, we can make ‘n positive contribution to the world through educating and looking after the children, the leaders of the future.”
Sabinah said the school has been open since 1957. “Today it is rewarded for its good work. This is only the beginning”.
