LIMPOPO – A 34-year-old man was arrested in connection with the murder of a 56-year-old man at Motetema outside Groblersdal in the Sekhukhune District last Wednesday afternoon.
According to the police, the victim died at the Groblersdal Hospital where he was receiving medical treatment after the 34-year-old suspect allegedly assaulted him with a garden fork on Sunday, 1 November.
Const Thelma Makofane, Motetema police spokesperson, confirmed a case of murder was opened after the death and the suspect was arrested.
Makofane said there was no case opened after the deceased, who cannot be named before the next of kin are informed, was allegedly assaulted by the suspect that day.
The suspect will appear before the Motetema Magistrate’s Court shortly.
