POLOKWANE – On Tuesday, 1 December, Kholofelo Pholafudi will host another installment of the Hangout Network at Sun Meropa.
“The audience can expect an incredible night of networking with leaders and giants of various industries. A relaxed jazz atmosphere and good food will complement this” – author and founder, Kholofelo Pholafudi.
The line-up will include: Billy Selekane, Simphiwe Mdlalose and Thapelo Matlala.
The Hangout Network is an educational and social entrepreneurship-driven movement led by Pholafudi. The aim of this movement is to arouse the true spirit of entrepreneurship among the youth while simultaneously trying to combat the high rate of unemployment. The other objective of this movement is to promote networking among entrepreneurs who operate in different spheres of business and society.
It is the an event that allows all its attendees to learn, network, connect and also do business with one another. The movement was formed in early 2014 and has, to date, made some groundbreaking breakthroughs with regard to the impact that it has made on society at large. The event has already hosted a large scale of entrepreneurship seminars and events featuring top international and national heavyweights such Hannes Dreyer and Mosibudi Mangena.
In addition to this, this time around parts of the proceeds will go to a childheaded family in Matlala. The seven children whose house burnt down, lost both their parents in the space of two months.
Pholafudi explained why he was doing this. “It’s part of my community outreach programme roll-out to the rural communities in terms of empowering them with entrepreneurship skills. I was informed about this sad case and thought immediately that I could make a difference in their lives, especially if I have the support of other people in business. Upon reaching the required amount, construction of a new house for them will commence immediately,” he said.
Tickets cost R200 per person including dinner and the event will start 17:00 at Sun Meropa’s Jembe Tavern.
