LOUIS TRICHARDT -No arrests have yet been made following a string of business robberies each committed by two unknown men on Monday (16 November).
Const Irene Radzilane, spokesperson for the Louis Trichardt police spoke to Review regarding the robberies.
• The first robbery took place at the Check-U warehouse in the industrial area of Louis Trichardt.
“At about 14:00 two unknown men in police uniforms walked into Check-U pretending to be there to effect an arrest.”
“They held the workers at gunpoint and managed to get away with an undisclosed amount of money and two cell phones.”
• The second business robbery took place at 19:00 at Snappy Snacks.
“It is alleged that two unknown men came into the shop, held workers at gun point and managed to steal an undisclosed amount of money from the till and ran away.”
“One shot was fired during the robbery and no one was injured.”
• The third business robbery took place at Fire Fly Foods at about 20:00.
“Two unknown men came into the shop, fired two shots and stole an undisclosed amount of money from the till and safe. No one was injured during the robbery.”
Police investigation continues states Radzilane.
When asked on Thursday morning about the investigation into the armed robbery that took place on 7 November at a hotel in Louis Trichardt. Radzilane confirmed that no arrests have yet been made.
