
LIMPOPO – Nine suspects have been arrested in Marapong in Lephalale on Friday for public violence and malicious damage to property.
Police spokesperson, Malesela Ledwaba, said it is alleged the suspects torched 21 buses, a satellite police station and a municipal building in Marapong.
“The arrest brings the total number to 23. They were arrested in connection with incidents that happened in September,” said Ledwaba.
The suspects appeared in the Lephalale Magistrate’s Court yesterday (Monday) and the case was postponed to 30 November for formal bail applications, added Ledwaba.
