Express asks a few residents about their New Year’s resolutions.

Khomotso Serage says the only thing on his list is to pass his school subjects with good grades this year and he plans to study hard to achieve this.
“I had a great time at school last year. I worked hard and managed to pass all my subjects. This year I plan to put in even more effort and achieve better results.”

Last year was tough for Mishack Kgomo, but he looks forward to this year’s challenges.
“I had several New Year’s resolutions last year but I didn’t manage to stick with them. Now I have learnt from my mistakes and plan to make 2016 my best year yet.”

“Last year was difficult for me, but I have a feeling this year will be much better. I did not manage to see any of my dreams realised last year, but this year I hope all will go well. I’m calling this year 20-succeeding,” William Mmola smiles.

Katlego Ramatsakana plans to make this year a financial win. “My New Year’s resolution is to save money every month so I can treat myself for the dedication I showed and to meet all my needs at the end of the year.
“Life is not about entertainment but how we work to achieve and satisfy our needs and wants,” he says.

Alphus Mametja says he hopes this year will bring him good fortune and he plans to work as hard as he can to help make that possible.
“The year 2015 has gone and with it the mistakes and challenges I had to face. One of my New Year’s resolutions is to reach all my goals, which includes finding a proper job.”
