Barney helps to make back-to-school fun for these learners

Capricorn FM recently embarked on a back-to-school campaign, which saw the station donate a jungle gym to Laastehoop Primary School

LIMPOPO – According to Tebogo Ramogale, the station’s marketing manager, this was something they did each year to give back to the less fortunate.

“It is an annual Corporate Social Investment (CSI) event that Capricorn FM embarks on, usually we would donate school bags, shoes and other school items. So this year we decided to do something a little different, we believe that primary school kids learn differently so we wanted to do something that was going to make learning fun for them,” Ramogale explained.

The principal, Makgale Tema said they have wanted to build a jungle gym for their learners for the past nine years.

“As a school we really appreciate this gesture because for the past nine years we have made numerous efforts to build one, but with no success. Our kids are going to really enjoy this and we are very grateful to Capricorn FM for choosing us,” said Tema.

The learners were also entertained by Barney the Dinosaur who engaged them in some educational games.
