Artwork created with love
Every morning as the employees of Bosveld turn the corner on Hooge and Van Riebeeck Street they are greeted by the picturesque scene of a combination of raw talent and friendly faces
MOKOPANE – This is the the artwork of Tesh Chivazve (41) and his son, Shaun (21).
They sell their art on the corner and most mornings they are already standing there at the crack of dawn.
When Bosveld closes at 16:30 you will still find them there doing their utmost to make a living.
What is most impressive is not their talent and hard work but the fact that they are always friendly regardless of their circumstances.
Tesh says he started wire work in 1998 and then taught his son.
“He has a natural talent,” he says with a proud smile.
Bosveld recently asked them what their next project will be and they replied that they are planning to make 80 flowers to give to the residents of the Piet Potgieter Monument Ouetehuis on Valentine’s Day.
Tesh said: “I have a special place in my heart for the elderly, we must respect them, learn from them and cherish them.”
Bosveld appeals to readers to support these men by buying beautiful hearts, flowers or angels to spoil someone special for Valentine’s Day.
This duo is so talented that when shown a picture of an object, they can bring it to life with wire.
For orders or more information Tesh can be contacted at 072 375 5105 or contact Shaun at 074 565 4280.
