POLOKWANE – Motorists making use of the Tom Naudé bridge in Landros Maré street are fed up with how long the repairs to the barrier alongside the bridge are taking.
Residents have complained that when there is a strong wind or rain, the sticks that the Polokwane Municipality make use of to support the municipal net (temporary barrier) fall into the road. This forces traffic in the outer lane to move into the second lane to avoid the obstruction in the road caused by the sticks.
Polokwane municipality spokesperson Tidimalo Chuene said that the municipality will be looking into complaints lodged and try to speed up the replacement of the barrier.
