Eagle’s Nest reaches out to Lim’s drought-stricken areas

POLOKWANE – Spokesperson for Water Shortage South Africa, Frouwine Maré of Eagle’s Nest Christian School, says the community’s willingness to be involved in the project, as well as that of the school and several business entities, has made the project a success.

The following communities have been assisted with water:

• 5 000l at Laaste Hoop in Ga-Mothiba

• 5 000l at Thombo Primary School in Ga-Mothiba

• 5 000l at Mosa Drop-in Centre in Ga-Mojapelo

• 10 000l at Moletjie School in Moletjie

Eagle’s Nest Christian School would like to thank the following for their contributions in making this project possible:

• The outreach learners and staff who deliver water to the above mentioned areas Monday afternoons

• Pepps Preparatory School and College and Northview Christian Academy for joining the Water Shortage SA initiative

These businesses, which are drop-off points in Polokwane: Walton’s Stationery, Crown Seed, Petro Stop Engen and FNB Commercial Mall of the North.

“Thank you to all the businesses and individuals who dropped off water at these points and to those who collected water for us. A big thank you to Honda Westrand, who sent a truck with 10 000l of drinking water bottles with Ptruck Services, who transported it to Limpopo. The water drive is still continuing and we would like to invite the public to continue sending us water and join us at water drops on Mondays,” says Maré.

Eagle’s Nest is now a registered Feed Drop-off Point for Animal feed for Limpopo and Free State farmers.

“Please call us if you want to join Limpopo in collecting or distributing water or animal feed,” she says.
