Situation in Mokopane ‘calm’ following protests

'All charges against our fellow comrades have to be withdrawn' - Percy Nketse, representative of the Mogalakwena worker force

MOKOPANE – On Wednesday(yesterday) the delegation of COGHTA  engaged with the management team and the representatives of the worker force.

Percy Nketse, representative of the Mogalakwena worker force, told Bosveld on Thursday: “So far so good. We are still awaiting to engage with COGHTA again later this afternoon, but one thing is certain we will not compromise, all of the charges against our fellow comrades have to be withdrawn.”

The Acting Municipal Manager, Markus Mthombeni, has arranged with outside contractors to clean the streets, but the Mogalakwena Municipality remains closed.
