Stones and a petrol bomb were thrown at the house

LIMPOPO – The home of the parents of the Modimolle mayor, Elizabeth Lekalakala in Phagameng has been damaged.
According to provincial police spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto, stones and a petrol bomb were thrown at the house.
“There was slight damage to the lounge, but they managed to extinguish the flames before the fire spread. Nobody was injured,” said Otto.
She said two suspects were taken into questioning, and that a case of arson was opened.
Asked if the attack was linked to the recent protests in the town, Otto could not confirm this, and said investigations continued.
