LIMPOPO – According to the Citizen the traffic officer was hit by a speeding car while performing point duty on Sunday afternoon on the R36 near Tzaneen’s Macdonald market.
“The driver turned himself in at the nearest police station on Sunday evening,” said police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe.
The suspect will appear before the Tzaneen Magistrate Court on Tuesday on a charge of culpable homicide.
