Elderly couple and grandson set alight in their home
The police are on the look-out for unknown suspects who set alight an elderly couple and their grandson
LIMPOPO – The police in Maake outside Tzaneen have launched a massive manhunt for unknown suspects who set an elderly couple and their 16-year-old grandson on fire over the weekend.
Police spokesperson in the Tzaneen cluster, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe, said the deceased were found dead in their bedrooms with multiple burn wounds on Sunday morning.
Ngoepe said the deceased were identified as Samuel Sejaphala (86), Alice Sejaphala (78), and Seahlodi Sejaphala (16).
They all lived in the same house in the village.
According to Ngoepe, the suspects were still at large and he appealed to anyone with information which may lead to their arrest to contact their nearest police station, Lt Col Cecil Machimane at 072 532 1725, the crime stop number 08600 10111 or to SMS the crime line at 32211.
