We are back and victorious!

The Mogalakwena municipal workers will be back at work as from today.

MOKOPANE – Representative of the municipal work force, Percy Nketse, says this is a victory for them. “We are back and it has been agreed that a delegation of CoGHSTA will work alongside the leadership of the Mogalakwena Municipality to ensure that the process of benchmarking is implemented as of 1 March 2016!
The workers were singing and dancing as they celebrated their ‘victory’ and return.
According to municipal spokesperson Malesela Selokela: “Services will be back in full force as from today. The municipality will send out a media statement shortly”

This comes after the minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA), Minister Des Van Rooyen, met with five delegates representing the worker force on Wednesday Afternoon at Oasis Lodge in attempt to reach a resolution to the on-going protest.
