House of Asante Spa treats brave mothers

For the mothers of cancer patients in the Cansa Tough Living with Cancer (TLC) Oncology Ward of the Polokwane Provincial Hospital who spend most of their time next to their children’s beds last Wednesday held a huge surprise.
Matlakala Bopape, owner of House of Asante Spa a while ago decided that she wanted to treat these mothers. She and her staff invited four of the mothers to enjoy a relaxing day at the spa.
“It is not good for someone to spend so much time at a hospital. I cannot imagine what some of these mothers are going through having to sit next to their sick child the entire day,” Bopape said.
Bopape has hosted parties for cancer patients and survivors in the past and said she wanted to do something for the mothers for a change.
She explained that she felt overwhelmed to could have done something for them just to forget about their problems for a little time.
The mothers told Polokwane Observer that they were very grateful for the treatments and that they had experienced a relaxing day.
Cansa Polokwane TLC Facilitator Bobby Were said that he was very grateful to Bopape for helping the mothers to forget about their worries and pain for a day. He said House of Asante Spa was planning to treat more mothers to also help them to relieve some of their stress.
