Mitchell House’s first Neon Walk drew a large crowd of parents, learners, educators and friends and the sports field was awash with colour and light from glow sticks, neon clothing and colourful lights last Wednesday evening.
A special track was laid out on the field for the walkers. Entertainment by Boiphelo Marimba Band from Haenertzburg made for a festive atmosphere while refreshments and colourful lights were also sold.
Principal of the school, Andrew Cook said it was amazing to see how many people attended the event. He explained that it was a wonderful opportunity for everybody to get together.
Achsah Phoshoko, Director of Marketing said the JP College hosted the event and that it was a huge success for the first time. The school is planning to host another Neon Walk in future.
