Over a hundred people helped just by creating awareness

More than 2 000 people, including Mogalakwena Municipality Mayor, Parks Sebatjane, attended the Awareness Campaign Against Substance Abuse hosted by Brother L Entertainment last Thursday in Tshamahanzi Village.

LIMPOPO -Lesiba Moloto and Peter Maiwla (Co-owners of Brother L Entertainment) told Bosveld: “While working at the local radio station we would daily get calls from residents asking for help with regards to drug and substance abuse. Due to this reason we decided to raise awareness.” Moloto and Maiwla further said young people with a lot of potential fall victim to drug and substance abuse on a daily basis within the community and they could no longer just watch and do nothing, they had to take action. More than 100 people were tested on the day for drug abuse and some of them were sent to rehabilitation centres.

Moloto and Maiwla say their next campaign will be on 26 May in Mgaongoa Village. They thank the Mogalakwena Municipality for their generous donation and support and everyone who helped them make this day a success. “Any help or donations for the next campaign would be truly appreciated.”

Readers can contact Moloto at 079 481 5334 or Maiwla at 071 644 1889.
