The municipal workers have downed tools for the fourth consecutive day in demand  that the benchmarking of salaries according to municipalities with the same grading scale be implemented.

Percy Nketsi, a representative of the municipal workers earlier warned that the  outcome of the scheduled meeting will  determine if the workers go back to work.

The status quo remains “the standstill” continues says Nketsi.

Municipal workers have closed the gates to the premises and are demanding answers. Mayor Parks Sebatjane is currently still in the building.
