Faces of Northern Academy crowned

Rethabile Masimene and Baby Phoshoko were crowned Mr and Miss Northern Academy at an event honoured by a host of celebrity judges and excellent masters of ceremonies recently.
The judges at the stylish ceremony were Obed Mofoleng, Strictly Come Dancing participant, Chante Whelan, singer, Miss Limpopo 2016, Ntsetselelo Mkansi, Miss Limpopo Teen 2016, Elrize Erasmus and Mpho Moutlana, Energy FM Presenter, youth pastor and motivational speaker.

The well-orchestrated programme was unfortunately marred by a very unruly audience who time and again had to be called to order by the MCs.
The participants knew their steps and were well groomed for the occasion. They showcased their clothes well and were worthy participants in the competition. The judges certainly had a hard time to announce the final winners of the Mr and Miss Photogenic, Mr and Miss Personality, Mr and Miss Denim and Diamonds and finally the two runners-up and the ultimate winners.
The first princess and prince were Charmaine Baloyi and Benny Shipalana, also crowned Miss and Mr Photogenic, and second princess and prince were Praises Baloyi and Tshepo Makeke. Mr and Miss Denim and Diamonds were Dave Tsholedi and Mpho Malatji and Mr and Miss Personality were Teddy Matlala and Gail Nkadimeng.
Learners showcased their talents during the programme rendering songs, rap songs, dances and other items.
