Network Day to empower women

More than a 150 women from various police stations in the province recently attended the SAPS Mahwelereng Cluster's Women's Network.

LIMPOPO – A well-known saying reads: “A woman with a voice is by definition a strong woman,” and these words were again proven during the recent Women’s Network Day event held at the Bundu Lapa outside Mokopane.

More than a 150 women from various police stations in the province recently attended the SAPS Mahwelereng Cluster’s Women’s Network.

Maj Gen Maggie Mathebula said: “We as women need to support and help each other at work. We need to grow into the best versions of ourselves that we can be.” She went on to say that as women, they need to respect each other despite their varied titles.

Brig Dikeledi Mangena said the Network Day is organised to give women of tSAPS the opportunity to help one another and to empower each other by raising their voices. The ladies were motivated by various motivational speakers and the day was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. All of the women went home inspired. Mangena thanked Ivanplants for sponsoring the event.
