Stanfordians selected for provincial teams

Several learners of Stanford Lake College (SLC) were recently selected for Limpopo Hockey teams. Adam McGaffin, captain of the first boys’ team was selected for the u.18A team and so were his team mates Mfumo Mongwe, Graeme Harty, Michael van Zyl, Benno Prinsloo and Jason Wright. The u.18B team will boast the services of Matthew Maritz, Austin Johnson, Aidan du Preez and Marc Stirling.
Among the schools many talented junior players it was u.16s Madala Honwana (A Team) and Nsuku Muyimane (B Team) that caught the selectors’ eyes. Frank Dayson, Stephan Joubert and Kyle Bainwere elected for the u.14A boys’ team.
Tshepo Modiba will proudly take her place in u.18 girls’ team while Normane Mnisi and Jamela Maswanganyi will represent their school and province as members of the u.16 girls’ team. Mokgadi Mangena and Lara Dando, u.15, and u.14 players Danica Altenroxel, Matimu Mongwe, Makoma Pilusa, Tshedza Moila, Lia Revelas and Nooreen Ghood were also selected in their age groups.
