Mgidi, Fatana murder trial postponed
The trial for the murder of Gideon Fatana and Charles Mgidi are well on the way in the Polokwane High Court.
LIMPOPO – Fatana was shot and killed on 27 March 2015 in front of his house in Fourie Street. Thabo Matlaila, Charles Mogale and Sithole Thomas Monise were arrested in connection with Fatana’s murder.
Charles Mgidi were shot at a filling station in Mokopane on 4 April 2015. Samuel Matjila, Desmond Machaba and Partrick Sekhu were arrested in connection with Mgidi’s murder.
It is strongly believed that there is a link between the two cases as Machaba is connected to both.
Matjila, Machaba and Sekhu appeared in the Polokwane High Court from 3 to 13 May and the trial was postponed to the week of 31 October.
Machaba, Matlaila, Mogale and Monise appeared in the Polokwane High Court from 30 May to 15 June and the trial was postponed to the week of 18 to 22 and 25 to 29 July.
