Reserve fire contained quickly thanks to WOF
The fire started at around 13:00 today (Thursday)
POLOKWANE – A fire at the Polokwane Nature Reserve was quickly contained when the Working On Fire (WOF) team from Polokwane was called to assist.
The fire started at around 13:00 today (Thursday), within minutes the WOF team extinguished the fire.

Spokesperson for WOF Limpopo Matema Gwangwa said the WOF team was quick to respond and even though the fire was stopped the team was still on the scene making sure the fire didn’t spread.
The WOF team asked residents to be careful and try to avoid making open fires. With the August winds, flames spread quickly and can cause damage and even injuries.
