Plantation worker killed in freak accident

LIMPOPO –  According to ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring, when the paramedics arrived on the scene they found the man lying underneath a tree surrounded by other workers.

“On closer inspection paramedics discovered that the man had already succumbed to his multiple fatal injuries… a large wound to his neck and chest.”

He was declared dead on the scene.

“It is understood that the man had been working with a chainsaw when it apparently slipped cutting his neck and chest,” added Meiring.

Local authorities were on the scene and investigations continue.
