Search on for Queen of the North

Queen of the North, a red carpet event marketed as the biggest beauty pageant in the province with over 100 entries annually, will be held on 26 November at Bolivia Lodge, and entries for this prestigious title are now open.
The pageant offers prizes worth over R50 000, including cash.
Due to the many entries the pageant is divided into two events, a junior and a senior pageant. The junior age group for entrants aged 1 to 12 years will be held on 26 November at 10:00. The senior group, ranging from 13 to 24 will be held at 18:00 on the same day.
Anyone can enter and no modelling experience is needed. A free modelling workshop will be hosted by Limpopo Beauty Modelling Academy on 25 November at 18:00 at Bolivia Lodge.
Entries received on or before 14 November will be judged in the Public Choice Extra Awards at no extra cost. Their photos will be featured in Polokwane Observer, exclusive media partner for Queen of the North, on 17 November.
The contestant with the most votes will win a R2 000 cash prize. Sashes and prizes will be given to the public choice winners in all six age categories and ten extra points in the pageant judging.
The overall winner of each group will receive a R2 500 cash prize.
The top ten in each of the six age groups will also receive medals.
Entries for Queen of the North close on 25 November at 16:00.
Queen of the North is known for its amazing big prizes and breath-taking rhinestone crowns and the pageant also acts as a stationery drive for the less fortunate.
To celebrate the pageants fourth year a photo booth with award winning photographers from Picture Perfect Centurion will capture the contestants coming from all over the province to compete.
