POLOKWANE – It’s not often that learners get the opportunity to sing their own praises, especially on stage.
Stanford Lake College (SLC) recognised and awarded its top learners on Friday during the school’s academic awards ceremony.
These awards are based on the November 2016 promotion marks.
SLC Marketer, Rona McGaffin, said this was an annual ceremony which recognises learners’ excellence. She said the ceremony aims to boost learners’ morale and encourage them to work hard. McGaffin congratulated all the learners who received prizes during the ceremony and urged other learners to focus on their studies to earn an opportunity to shine on stage.
Tammy Dayson was awarded the Junior Field Guide Certificate, credited by Field Guides Association of Southern Africa (FGASA), while four learners were awarded the bronze level of the Presidents Awards.
