Manhunt launched for trio crime syndicate suspects in Jane Furse

The suspects were cornered after police received a tip off from the community.

LIMPOPO –  Police spokesperson Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe says this is a milestone achievement in a concerted effort by the police in the fight against violent crimes head on.

He says the tip off was from the community about a trio crime syndicate which has been terrorising the community in and around the Jane Furse and Burgersfort areas.

A special operation was conducted in the Jane Furse area near the new hospital where the following items were recovered :

“The suspects in this matter are still on the run no arrests have been made, however, the possibility of a bigger organised crime syndicate in terms of the recovered items, may not be ruled out,” Ngoepe said.

The Acting Provincial Commissioner Major, General Jan Scheepers, has commended the team of police officers who were involved in what he says was an outstanding achievement.

Scheepers encouraged them to double their efforts in the fight against trio crimes without compromise.

“Members of the community who were victims of carjackings, business robberies, house robberies or any other serious crimes involving these recovered items, may go to Jane Furse Police Station or to call D/W/Officer Maila at 063 753 1294, the nearest police station, the crime stop number 0860010111 or the crime line sms 32211,” Ngoepe concluded.
