Man robbed at gunpoint at the Akasia Mosque
The owner of Union Store, Zayd Hassim says an armed suspect approached him before attending prayers.
MOKOPANE – Hassim says the armed suspect demanded that he get out of his car.
When he complied he saw a second suspect standing at the rear of his car.
“The armed suspect shouted at me to leave my cell phone in the car. I adhered to his instruction and stepped back.”
According to Hassim the two suspects took off with his car, bank card and driver’s licence. He did not see any other vehicles or suspects in the street.
“I’m just glad that I am alive and that they did not assault me.”
Comment was not yet received from the Mokopane Police by the time of going to print.
