LIMPOPO – The 67-year-old woman was raped on Saturday evening in her room in Ritavi village outside Tzaneen.
“It is alleged that the victim was awoken by the sound of a window pane being broken… the suspect was armed with a object… he raped her and thenfell asleep in the same room, said Brigadier Motlefela Mojapelo.

“The victim managed to alert the neighbours who in turn summoned the Ritavi Police who found the man still asleep in the room.”
He was immediately arrested and will appear before the Ritavi Magistarate’s Court today (Monday) on a charge of rape, concluded Mojapelo.
