NTT Toyota launches in style

The dealership is seen as a large economic injection for Mokopane.

MOKOPANE – Prominent guests attended the launch of the NTT Toyota dealership last Friday, where a buzzing atmosphere filled the cool winter air.

The 450 guests were welcomed on a red carpet to the pulsating rhythms of the Drumpower group with the new building clad in neon lights in the background.

Guests were welcomed by rhythm and lights when NTT Toyota launched in town last week.

Mogalakwena Municipality was represented by the Mayor, Andrina Matsemela, who cut the ribbon with Calvin Hamman (Senior Vice President of Marketing Toyota SA) and Fred Whelpton (Owner NTT Toyota Group), to signal the official opening of NTT Toyota’s new premises.

The Senior Vice President of Marketing SA Toyota, Calvyn Hamman, thanked everyone that had an input in making this dream come true.

“The remarkable young architect of Sage Architects in Johannesburg Timothy Johnson and Henri Labeeuw, engineer of Endecon Ubuntu Engineering Pty Ltd for their hard work and a beautifully designed building.

“Thanks to Shaun McGrath, NTT Toyota attorney, who made this possible from the start and had an important role in obtaining and transferring of the properties. Thanks to all the local contractors – without you this would not be possible.”

Bongani Mdlalose, Colin Heaney, Nathi Kumalo and Banele Malingi of the Drumpower band.

This cup will be placed at the entrance desk of the building and will be filled with fresh apples daily as a symbol of prospects to come.

The Owner of NTT Toyota, Fred Whelpton, was excited about NTT’s new premises and told Bosveld he opened Mokopane NTT Toyota in 1990.

Whelpton said the launch was in honour of his clients, staff and all the people who made this event possible.
