Coverland Polokwane hosts professional training workshop

After recently launching their upgraded concrete tile plant, Coverland Polokwane hosted professionals in the building industry in a training session developed to introduce the guests to some of Coverland’s new innovations and enduring industry favourites last week.
Coverland is the only concrete roof tile manufacturer with an accredited Continuing Professional Development (CPD) architect’s presentation, audited and approved by the South African Institute of Architects.
The event was organised in conjunction with Amandri de Lange from Specifying Dynamics with the trusses for practical demonstrations supplied by Martek Roofing.
The Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training was presented in two parts, theoretical training by Coverland Regional Manager of the Cape Region and CPD trainer, and practical demonstrations by Coverland Polokwane Branch Manager, Jaco Mouton and Roofing Technician, Trevor Gwebu. Guests were also treated to a comprehensive tour of the upgraded tile plant, by Coverland Polo­kwane Works Manager, Charles Freyer.
According to Mouton the CPD workshop will become an annual event where all building professionals, from architects to building inspectors, can access the latest information on innovation in the roofing industry. “It is crucial to provide this extra service to our customers by making sure they are up to date with and making the most of the latest in roofing practice and technology,” he said.
Thanks to the upgraded tile plant, Coverland Polokwane’s offering includes six concrete tile profiles as well as a range of imported clay tiles, offering local consumers a much wider product choice. Coverland Polokwane’s products include a wide range of roofing components such as RadenShield Radiant Barriers, Undertile Membranes, flashing and dry ridging solutions.
