Design your destiny

The Polokwane School of Fashion and Design which opened last year, are fully registered and accredited by the Fibre Processing and Manufacturing (FP&M) Skills Education Training Authorities in South Africa (SETA).

Below are the courses offered at the college and certificates are awarded upon completion of the course. Owner and founder, Jamilah Miliki, says she teaches her students the best tricks and skills regarding the fashion industry.

“Students graduate after completing the full course and receive certificates,” she said.

The courses they offer are:

• Design and illustration

• Pattern making

• Garment construction

• Business in fashion

• Introduction to sewing

• Pattern construction/drafting

• Basic dressmaking process

• Fashion entrepreneurship

• Fashion drawing

“By completing these courses, student can learn how to design blouses, skirts, dresses, shirts, suits, trousers, and wedding gowns ,” Jamilah added.

The Polokwane School of Fashion and Design was founded by Jamilah Miliki and offers a variety of related courses.
