Entries for the Pretty Things for Little Things campaign sponsored by Shoprite and Age-in-Action are closing at the end of August.
The community has until the end of the month to put their creative talents to work to make much needed toys and clothes for children in disadvantaged communities. Clothes and toys can be entered in four categories namely soft toys, blankets, clothing and “other” which includes articles made from materials such as wood, tin or wire. Winners will be selected on provincial and national levels. On the provincial level the winner will take home R2 000 and the two runners-up R1 500 and R1 000 respectively. On national level, the winner will walk away with R5 000 while R3 000 and R2 000 will go to positions two and three. The campaign forms part of Shoprite’s #ActForChange initiative whereby they continue to give back to the communities in which they operate.
Gawie van Dyk, Shoprite Polokwane Fresh Food Manager, and Margaret Malatji, Age-in-Action Limpopo Provincial Director said no entries have been received thus far and they call upon the community to get their entries in before the closing date.
All items can be handed in at any Shoprite store or at the Age-in-Action office located in 43A Hoog Street, Polokwane.
