LIMPOPO – Moagi was in hiding when he was arrested.
Police spokesperson Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe says he briefly appeared before the Hoedspruit Magistrates Court, outside Phalaborwa and he was remanded in custody, with no bail until the 27 September 2017 for a formal bail application.
Moagi, a parolee, was highly wanted for three counts of attempted murder, which occurred on 6 August 2017, at De-Oaks Taxi, near Hoeadpsruit CBD.
“He was earlier convicted and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for an attempted murder, which occurred in 2005 and he was later released on parole. He is also linked to a charge of possession of an unlicensed firearm, which took place in 2009,” Ngoepe explained.
