After a series of consultative processes and negations with various stakeholders and shareholders on its brand journey, Limpopo Tourism Agency (LTA), will today (Thursday) launch its new brand and logo to its stakeholders in Mookgophong.
For the past two years LTA has been using a logo similar to the one used by Brand South Africa and other tourism agencies nationwide.
LTA Spokesperson, Mike Tauatsoala explained that the similarities had caused confusion and the confusions resulted in the agency conducting research on what ordinary people thinks about the Province. “In June this year, we held a media colloquium at which media raised a challenge regarding the province not having a unique differentiator but also that the agency’s brand and payoff line is confused with that of Brand SA. After a series of processes, including consultation with the industry, public, the MEC of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism, Seaparo Sekoati as well as members of the portfolio committee on Economic Development, Environment and Tourism we unanimously agreed that the logo should be changed,” Tauatsoala said.
He also added that the new logo will completely change the image of the Agency. “After the launch Limpopo will never be the same again and there will no longer be confusion. We thank the media representatives who helped to shape the new look of Limpopo Province in the marketing space and for having been part of the change we will witness today,” Tauatsoala added.
