‘Empowering women in business’ was the theme of an engagement session for businesswomen that was hosted by the Limpopo branch of the Businesswomen’s Association of South Africa (Bwasa) and Eskom in the city last Friday.
Speakers included Masedi Skosana, Business Strategy and Integration General Manager of Eskom, who addressed guests on ‘Empowerment of Women in Business’ and Madimetja Phalane, Eskom’s Procurement Manager, who informed the businesswomen about procurement processes and opportunities and supplier development and localisation.
Mmabogoshi Msiza, Chairperson of Bwasa Limpopo, said that Bwasa works through alliances in realising its vision. “It is through initiatives and partnerships like this one that we continue supporting, connecting and growing members,” Msiza said.
