Case against body parts suspects continues in Mahwelereng court

Edward Raatji (50) and and Matsobane Stanley Mohlake (33) remain in custody

MOKOPANE – The case against Edward Raatji (50) and and Matsobane Stanley Mohlake (33), is set to continue in the Mahwelereng Magistrate’s Court today (Tuesday).

They were arrested on 10 July 2016 after police followed up on a tip off they received about people selling body parts in Polokwane CBD.

The men were found with the head of a woman, wrapped in newspaper, in their possession.

The head was later linked to a headless and burnt body that was discovered in Mapela, Mahwelereng a day later. The victim was identified as Ntabiseng Mosomane.

The suspects appeared in the Mahwelereng Magistrate’s Court yesterday (Monday) on a charge of murder and were rmended in custody until today (Tuesday, 14 November 2017)
