Make a furry friend’s festive season by donating to the Polokwane SPCA

The SPCA are in need of certain items to make sure all animals are well taken care of this Christmas.

POLOKWANE – With Christmas music ringing in your ears, gifts being wrapped and overall festive cheer setting in our hearts, Christmas is officially around the corner.

The Polokwane SPCA are also getting ready for this festive time, knowing they will get more mouths to feed during the holiday.

Residents are encouraged to contribute to the SPCA by adding to their wishlist.

All goodies can be delivered to Woofels Doggy Parlour in Webster street, before 15 December where after Jo-Anne Honiball and Rannie Wilson, owners, will deliver it to the SPCA.

Cat Wishlist: 

  • Cat Sand
  • Cat Litter Trays
  • Cat Scratch Posts
  • Cat Toys
  • Cat Beds
  • De-boned Chicken Breasts (gets boiled up for the cats to eat)
  • Adult and Kitten Food

Dog Wishlist:

  • Toys For Big and Small (remember rugged and tough for the big dogs)
  • Blankets
  • Continental Pillows (with pillow case)
  • Adult and Puppy food
  • Treats (Doggie biscuits and Treats)
  • De-boned Chicken Breasts (gets boiled up for dogs to eat)

Other SPCA needs:

• Gauze Swabs
• Savlon
• Plaster
• Dust Masks (box)
• Latex Gloves (boxes)
• Small Syringes with Needles (not insulin syringes)
• Pine Gel (to wash the cages)
• Washing Powder (to wash the blankets)
• Liquid Dishwashing Soap (to wash the food bowls)
• Heavy Duty Brooms
• Hosepipes
• Rabbit Pellets
• Bales of Hay or Eragrostes (not lucern)

Remember, you can also adopt a furry friend this festive season.

Adoption Fee:
Dogs: R650 (includes sterilization, vaccination, deworming and microchip)

Cats: R450 (includes sterilization, vaccination, deworming and microchip, FIV test and FeLV test).
