Dagga dealers nabbed in Thabazimbi area

"These type of operations will be up and running until we can experience a drug free province," says the police

LIMPOPO – The continuing fight against mushrooming of drugs in the province has once again yielded positive results. This after two suspects, found in possession of dagga, were arrested in Northam outside Thabazimbi during separate incidents on Friday 19 January 2018, said Const Monatse Mamabolo.

The one suspect (43) was nabbed at a road block during a stop and search operation. Dagga to the street value of R200 was found in his possession and he was arrested on the spot.

The second suspect (49) was arrested at his homestead after police followed up on a tip-off received about his illegal activities. He was found in possession of dagga to the value of R1 600 and was arrested.

The two suspects will appear before the Thabazimbi Magistrates Court soon on the charge of possession and dealing in drugs.
