LIMPOPO – The 36-year-old suspect, arrested for illegal poaching, has appeared before the Giyani Magistrates Court and was remanded in custody until 5 February 2018.
The suspect is believed to be part of an illegal poaching syndicate and was arrested during a special Intelligence led Joint operation with NIU(Rhino8) conducted in Mbaula village, with in the Giyani policing area on Sunday (28 January 2018, Constable Maphure Manamela said.
During the incident four elephant tusks were recovered.
