Three dead and six injured in 3-vehicle collision along R36

LIMPOPO – Three people are dead and six injured after a head-on collision between a truck and a Toyota (lmv) on Saturday evening along the R36 road near Mokgolobotho outside Tzaneen.

A third vehicle a Toyota light delivery vehicle was also involved.

According to reports the driver and two passengers travelling in the Toyota (lmv) were killed. Four people sustained serious injuries and two others sustained minor injuries. All injuried parties were taken to the Letaba Hospital for treatment.

The possible cause of the accident is still not clear at this stage, but drunk driving and reckless overtaking has not been ruled out.

Ritavi Police Station will investigate further.
