[TAKE NOTE] Seshego Zone 3 planned electricity outage

Residents and businesses alike are hereby informed about a planned power outage which will affect Seshego Zone 3 next week.

POLOKWANE – According to a statement issued by the Polokwane Municipality: “The maintenance to the Zone 3 substation is due to infrastructure and network maintenance to be undertaken on the overhead line conductors. The purpose of the maintenance is to avoid concurrent power outages in Zone 3 after experiencing rain. This network maintenance will ensure the infrastructure is made reliable during rain seasons and as a result the area will no longer experience power outages.”

“Our electricians will be upgrading the networks by removing old electrical equipment and installing a new 11kv cables on the Zone 3 ring,” the municpality adds.

The planned power outage is scheduled to take place on 3, 7 and 9 March from 08:00-16:00.

Residents and businesses are urged to switch off their electrical appliances including geysers during the downtime to avoid any damage before the planned outage. All electrical wires should be considered to be live at all times. We further request that all stakeholders make necessary arrangements and planning ahead of planned power outage.
