LIMPOPO – Acccording to police spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe, the murder occurred following a heated argument between a 14 and 15=year-old at the Mbangezike High School in Xikukwani village.
“After the argument occurred, the 15-year-old pupil called his elder brother (the suspect) and they both followed the 14-year-old victim to his home where the suspect chopped him with a sharp object, killing him instantly” Ngoepe said.
After the murder of the victim, residents of Xikukwani went on rampage and burnt the suspect’s home with everything inside.
Police were summoned not only for investigations to begin but Public Order Police (POP) were also called to calm the situation.
“The situation is calm now but POP are still monitoring the area and the suspect will appear before the Giyani Magistrate’s Court soon on a charge of murder,” he added.
No arrests have been made with regards to the torching of the house.
