Ghost Riders Limpopo host annual charity jol for bikers in Polokwane
Ghost Riders Limpopo brought together 20 motorcycle clubs for their annual charity jol, raising funds for animal shelters and orphanages.
POLOKWANE – Ghost Riders Limpopo hosted their annual charity day jol at Kurumba Lodge on August 1, bringing bikers together for a day of fun, fellowship and fundraising.
The event attracted approximately 20 motorcycle clubs from across the province, with riders and supporters turning out in numbers to support the charitable cause.
Club president Apollo Davids said the purpose was to combine fellowship with fundraising.
“We invited bikers to come together for a day of fun, but with a purpose, and their commitment to helping those in need was overwhelming.
“All the money raised on the day is ploughed back into charity,” he said.
Games, prizes and giveaways
The programme included fun games and interactive activities for bikers, with prizes for the winners. Lucky draws and giveaways also added to the entertainment throughout the day.
Where the money goes
Davids explained that the club would finalise the total amount raised after the event before deciding which organisations to support. In previous years, donations have gone to animal shelters, orphanages and rehabilitation centres.
Growing the event each year
He thanked all the bikers who attended and supported the initiative, expressing hope that everyone enjoyed themselves while contributing to a good cause.
He added that the club looks forward to growing the event each year and continuing to use its passion for riding to make a difference in communities across the province.
